Oregon Splitfest has donated thousands and thousands of dollars to the restoration projects on the historic Tilly Jane cabins. In addition to financial contributions, several participants have volunteered with these projects as well from painting to salvaging fallen old growth for new shingles along with helping remove the old roof. Other causes we’ve donated to are NWAC, POW, and Citizens Climate Education.(Tilly Jane 8)
We’ve reached out to businesses to donate goods that will have our splitboarding community buzzing with excitement. Whether it’s gear that’ll have us shredding like pros or goodies to keep us cozy après-ride, those contributions make waves. How is that? Well, we’re not just about shredding powder; we’re about giving back and growing the community. That’s why all the green we raise from our raffle will be split and donated to two awesome causes: EDGE outdoors and Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue.
We will be supporting two incredible organizations: EDGE which aims to “To bring inclusivity to the slopes, bestow equity and justice to BIWOC, promote the normalization of Black and Brown women recreating, working, and leading in mountain spaces” and PNWSAR which keeps our outdoor playgrounds safe. Together, let’s lace up our boots, grab our beacon, shovel, and probe, link with our favorite crew, and slide into action for a great cause!
